Idukki district, it was once was the favored summer resort of the
British. And with good reason. It is blessed with endless stretches
of tea plantations - pristine valleys, misty mountain, exotic flora
and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests. The spice scented

How to reach here
The airport at Cochin/Kochi caters to Munnar. The railway station
nearest to Munnar also happens to be that of Cochin-Kochi. The
excellent road network links the hill resort of Munnar with the
other important places of Kerala.

and soul.
Take time out to visit the glorious tea gardens. The
lavish garden spreads allow an intimate look at tea
processing. All the stages- from picking of the tealeaves in
the estates and the gardens to the packing in the factories
happen right in front of you. You can also take a guided
tour to the factories and pick up freshly packed tealeaves
as souvenirs.
The Christ Church exists from the pre-independence
days. Even now the Sunday services are held here.
The cool environs of Devikulam Lake close by attract
tourists by the droves. An ideal spot to unwind and relax ,
you can even try angling in its waters. |

Restaurant is famous for the vegetarian meals.
